With Exact Sciences' online physician portal, ordering a test is easy, tracking test progress, and accessing results are convenient and efficient. On the portal:
- Orders can be submitted online—virtually eliminating the need for follow-up calls to complete any missing information.
- All patient orders and results reports can be viewed, tracked, and sorted quickly.
- Orders and results reports may be viewed online, printed, or downloaded as PDFs.
- If you have do not have an online portal account, sign up now for a new account. If you have forgotten your user ID or password, reset it on the account activation form.

When submitting an invasive tumor sample for the Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score test please choose the block with both the greatest amount (cross-sectional area) of highest grade invasive breast carcinoma and when possible, the least amount of non-invasive mammary epithelium (in situ carcinoma, hyperplastic epithelium, normal epithelium). While the Exact Sciences' laboratory can accept tumor blocks and unstained slides, blocks are preferred due to the frequent requirement for manual macrodissection of the specimen consistent with clinical trial experience. In rare cases, the diagnostic needle core biopsy may be the optimal sample for testing than the excisional sample; if this is the case, then the needle core biopsy should be submitted.
All specimens must be labeled with S barcode labels from the Oncotype DX specimen collection and transportation kit box for that patient.

Accessing results
Most results are available within two weeks from the date we receive your patient’s sample in our laboratory. You can access the results through the online physician portal or receive the report by fax. Learn more about the results report and how to interpret the results on the test pages.
