Every person has unique genetic variants in DNA, but some of them are benign. When sequencing the DNA, the OncoExTra test uses patient-matched tumor-normal sequencing to rule out the benign variants and identify those that are most likely to respond to therapy.^1,2

Using patient-matched tumor-normal sequencing also provides a more accurate calculation of tumor mutational burden.³ It’s considered the gold standard for germline subtraction and is not offered by all comprehensive genomic tests.³

To order the OncoExTra test, begin by requesting OncoExtra specimen kits online or contacting customer service at 866.662.6897. Existing customers can place an order online via our convenient Provider Hub. New customers can sign up for online ordering, then submit an order electronically.

On request, Exact Sciences will supply OncoExTra specimen kits for shipping.

• Most tumor samples should be shipped overnight with a frozen cold pack^†
• Fresh frozen tissue should be shipped overnight on dry ice
• Matched normal blood samples must be ≤7 days old upon receipt, refrigerated until transport, then shipped overnight with a frozen cold pack^†
• Samples for IHC testing should be refrigerated until transport, then shipped overnight with a frozen cold pack^†

*Please ensure that all primary specimen containers are labeled with 2 unique patient identifiers and the collection date.

^†Freeze the cold pack included in the specimen kit for a minimum of 4 hours before shipping.

Out-of-pocket (OOP) costs for the test, if any, are determined by the patient's insurance company. Patients with OOP costs may contact us to discuss options.⁶
